Who can join?

RIBA Associate Membership is for individuals who:

  • have passed RIBA recognised Parts 1 and 2 examination in architecture

    or

  • have been awarded an architectural qualification consisting of a minimum of five years of academic study, which is listed in the European Union Directive.

If you're a student studying Part 1 or 2, click here to apply for the RIBA student membership.

If you’ve completed part 1, 2 and 3, click here to apply for the RIBA Chartered Membership.

If you're a non-UK-based graduate applying for RIBA Associate Membership, click here to download the application form as we will need to receive further supporting documentation by post or email.

 

How to apply

  1. Complete the following form.
  2. Please download the declaration and checklist and return supporting documents and a signed declaration to the RIBA by fax, email or post.
  3. We will send details for direct debit payment options and signatures for you to return to us.
  4. Your name will be put forward for election by the membership admissions committee (within 4-6 weeks).
  5. Once elected new RIBA Associate Members will then receive a welcome pack and login details to access all the benefits and services from this website.
